报告题目: A novel technique for simulating submarine landslides and landslide-pipeline interaction in geo-centrifuge

报告内容简介:

    Submarine slope instability is one of the major threats for offshore buried pipelines. In this presentation, a centrifuge modeling method to evaluate the ultimate pressure acting on a pipeline buried under a inclined seabed which liquefies due to monotonic loads will be discussed. Firstly, the details of a novel centrifuge test setup designed and constructed to simulate the process of triggering static liquefaction in loose sand layers will be presented. Then, the scaling laws for the centrifuge modeling of the initiation and propagation of static liquefaction in submerged slopes will be discussed. Thirdly, results of some small-scaled model tests with pipes buried at three different embedment ratios that have been conducted at 50g condition in a geotechnical centrifuge are presented and compared to the estimations on the ultimate pressure based on two traditional methods.
