报告简介:

Anomalous transport phenomena (anomalous transport, anomalous diffusion, anomalous relaxation) are processes that cannot be described by the standard (Markov) transport model based on the Boltzmann equation. The reasons for the anomaly often lie in spatial inhomogeneities of different scales, in which particle trajectories take on a cluster character, and/or in the presence of localized states (traps). Estimates show that random paths and sojourn times in traps in such media are often characterized by wide power-law distributions. In this case, the Poisson process model and Gaussian statistics are not applicable. Significant progress in describing the behavior (mainly asymptotic) of these processes has been achieved by passing from differential equations with partial derivatives of integer order to equations with fractional derivatives. Many anomalous transport processes can be described by various random walk models, as well as generalized(fractional) FokkerPlanck and Langevin equations.The report will discuss the relationship of fractional differential models with classical models of statistical physics and physical kinetics. The principle of hidden variables is discussed. Methods for modeling transport processes in mesofractal systems that exhibit fractal properties in a certain range of scales and look like a homogeneous medium at large scales are described. Relation between the Gangal fractal derivative defined on a one-dimensional stochastic fractal to the fractional derivative is presented.

Professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics, Ulyanovsk State University (UlSU), Ulyanovsk, Russia. Scientific-Manufacturing Complex Technological Centre Senior Researcher, Laboratory of Advanced Processes. He has published more than 50 journal papers and two monographs.
