In recent years, there has been a revolution in the broad applications of physics-informed machine learning (PIML) for solving partial differential equations. It has been becoming a game-changer for computer modelling and simulation for engineering and science. This talk will review the most recent developments of PIML for mechanics, including solid mechanics, fracture machines and fluid mechanics. The recent research in the speaker’s group on PIML will also be reported. It has proven that physics-informed machine learning will be the new generation of a computer modelling framework for mechanics.
