报告简介:

We propose a fast-meshless algorithm for the numerical solution nonlinear partial differential equations (PDE) by Radial Basis Functions (RBFs) approximation connected with the Total Variation (TV)-based minimization functional and to show its application to image denoising containing multiplicative noise. These capabilities used within the proposed algorithm have not only the quality of image denoising, edge preservation but also the property of minimization of staircase effect which results in blocky effects in the images. It is worth mentioning that the recommended method can be easily employed for nonlinear problems due to the lack of dependence on a mesh or integration procedure. The numerical investigations and corresponding examples prove the effectiveness of the recommended algorithm regarding the robustness and visual improvement as well as peak-signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and structural similarity index (SSIM) corresponded to the current conventional TV-based schemes.

Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan is Assistant professor in Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology Marden, Pakistan. Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in mathematics from University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar Pakistan. In 2018, he received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from College of Mechanics and Materials, Hohai University, P. R China. He has published more than 25 SCI papers.

报告简介:

We propose a Non-singular method of fundamental solutions (NMFS) for the solution of 2D and 3D linear elasticity problems. In order to avoid the singularities in the classical Method of Fundamental Solutions (MFS), are the source points outside the problem domain replaced by normalizing the area and the volume integral of the fundamental solutions over the circle and the sphere around the singularity on the physical boundary for 2D and 3D, respectively. The artificial boundary appearing in MFS is with this operation removed in NMFS.

A comparison between NMFS and MFS solutions and analytical solutions for elasticity problems is used to assess the feasibility and the accuracy of the newly developed method. Although NMFS results are slightly less accurate than MFS results in all spectra of performed tests, all NMFS results converge to the analytical solution. The lack of artificial boundary is particularly advantageous when using NMFS in multibody problems.

Dr. Q.G. Liu is the research associate in the institute of metals and technology and the assistant in the faculty of mechanical engineering, Ljubljana University. Dr. Q.G. Liu received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Harbin Nomal University and Heilongjiang University. In 2014, she got his Ph.D. in Physics from University of Nova Gorica.

Dr. Q.G. Liu current research interests include modified MFS, Localized MFS and the simulation about the reheating procedure of metals. She has published more than 10 SCI papers and participated several extremely successful projects.

报告简介:

Rheological scheme corresponding to the classical Burgers model, where the dash-pot elements are changed with their fractional counterparts, is employed in order to obtain the fractional Burgers model. Further, the thermodynamical requirements, originating from the dissipation inequality considered in the steady-state regime, are derived and it is shown that there are eight thermodynamically consistent fractional Burgers models divided into two classes. Models are theoretically tested in the creep and stress relaxation experiments and moreover fractional wave equations are posed.

DušanZorica is a full professor at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. D. Zorica has also graduated from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, while he finished the postgraduate studies at the Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. The line of scientific interest of D. Zorica is the application of fractional calculus in models of physics. He has published two monographs, a monograph chapter, and about 50 peer reviewed papers in SCI indexed journals.
